Here is the latest example of a currently popular approach to compiling a book of photographs: many photographers spread out all over a given geographical setting, a city or even an entire nation, and snap what they see going on around them during a set period of time. In this case, the setting is Ireland (both the Republic and Northern Ireland); the time period, a week. Fifty photographers were involved, Irish and otherwise. Chosen for inclusion here are 250 of their images, manifestations of the island's troubled historical-religious heritage, its physical beauty, the dynamics of new ways set against old (economic and social), and, above all, the warmth of its people.
