CHOICE Review

Kromidas uses his 27 years of experience with the methodology of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to produce his second of three practical workbooks on this major analytical separations area. This work is written as a series of short discussions on individual problems, labeled "Tips," associated with the HPLC technique, LS-MS coupling, micro- and nano-LC, and quantification. Tips are referenced among themselves but, except for the final quantification section, there are no outside references to obtain additional pertinent material. This book is very readable and is written in a light mood; it includes a technical crossword and puzzles. An appendix contains information resources and a range of practical information on the current state of this analytical area. Not a course resource, this book is suitable as a reference for scientists utilizing these associated methodologies. ^BSumming Up: Highly recommended.
