CHOICE Review

Lobel's book is about the computer security provided by computer hardware, by computer software, and by control of physical access to the computer. The writing is needlessly repetitious. Little attention is paid to currently available security aids. The result is a book presenting mostly theoretical ideas that have little practical application-anyone who has read the popular computer magazines during the last few years already knows everything said here. The book may be of some limited use to the person who knows nothing of computers and who becomes responsible for designing the security system for a computer room.-C.B.
