This exhibition catalogue presents the work of Peter Doig, a Scottish painter who currently lives and works in Trinidad. He is an established landscape and figurative painter whose works express themes of magical realism inspired by his childhood and life experiences. Vivid colors and strange figures leave dreamy, hallucinatory, and, at times, melancholy impressions on viewers. This catalogue of an exhibition at the Beyeler Foundation in Basel and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art presents selected works produced since 1989 and marks the first time Doig's experimental prints have been included in an exhibition of his work.
