Nancy Meckler is currently Artistic Director of Shared Experience. In the 1970's she founded and directed the influential physical theatre company The Freehold. Her recent production of Anna Karenina won the TMA/Martini Award for Best Touring Production in 1993. In this workshop, organized by the International Workshop Festival in September 1994, she explores different approaches to physicalization, and looks at "actions" and how these release a performer's energy. (1994)
